De Novo Solutions is seeking a skilled Oracle Cloud Payroll Consultant to join our fast-growing team. You will partner with clients, shape payroll solutions, and own outcomes across end-to-end payroll projects.

You will collaborate with UK-based stakeholders to design compliant Oracle Cloud Payroll solutions, manage quarterly releases, resolve complex payroll issues, and provide clear client-facing guidance in a dynamic consulting environment.

Job description

Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Oracle Cloud Payroll Consultant to join our fast-growing team. This role is suited to someone who enjoys partnering with clients, shaping payroll solutions, and taking accountability for outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring strong functional expertise across implementation, configuration, testing, and support of end-to-end payroll processes, combined with confident stakeholder engagement and advisory capability.

You will work closely with UK-based teams and business stakeholders to design and deliver high-quality, compliant Oracle Cloud Payroll solutions, balancing legislative requirements with operational pragmatism. A strong understanding of Oracle Cloud Payroll functionality, quarterly release management, and complex issue resolution is essential, along with clear, credible client-facing communication in a dynamic consulting environment.

You will:

• Lead the Oracle Cloud Payroll workstream on high-impact Oracle HCM and payroll transformation programmes, taking ownership and accountability for delivery outcomes.
• Deliver across a portfolio of Oracle Cloud Payroll implementations, including complex UK private and public sector environments.
• Build deep expertise in Payroll solution design and cross-module impacts (Core HR, Absence, OTL, Benefits, GL, Reporting), supporting longer-term progression into Solution Architecture roles.
• Design payroll solutions that comply with UK statutory and regulatory requirements, including PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments, pensions, and reporting obligations.
• Lead client workshops and senior stakeholder engagements, translating UK payroll, legislative, and operational requirements into pragmatic Oracle Cloud Payroll solutions.
• Provide functional leadership on payroll data migration activities, including element and balance conversion, validation, reconciliation, and defect resolution.
• Support the payroll integration workstream, working closely with technical teams to ensure accurate data flow across time, absence, finance, and banking interfaces.
• Act as a trusted advisor during SIT and UAT, supporting defect triage, design clarifications, business readiness, cutover planning, and end-to-end payroll parallel testing to validate accuracy against legacy payroll results.
• Provide strong post-UAT and hypercare support, proactively identifying payroll risks, resolving defects, and ensuring a stable transition into steady-state payroll operations.
• Operate effectively within a startup consulting environment, balancing delivery pace with accuracy, compliance, and control.
• Mentor consultants and contribute to delivery standards, accelerators, and best-practice ways of working as the practice scales.
• Support pre-sales activities where appropriate, including payroll solution input and client discussions.
