Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Optometrist based in Karjat at Raigad Hospital and Research Centre. The Optometrist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing and managing visual issues, prescribing corrective lenses, and providing expert advice on eye care and preventative measures. Additionally, the role includes working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care, maintaining accurate documentation, and participating in community outreach programs to raise awareness about eye health.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in performing detailed eye examinations, diagnosing refractive errors, and prescribing corrective lenses
• Knowledge of eye diseases, their diagnosis, and applications of treatments or referrals to specialized care
• Competency in handling and maintaining optometric instruments and technology, such as phoropters and tonometers
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
• Commitment to patient care and staying updated on the latest developments in optometry practices and technologies
• Bachelor's or Doctor of Optometry degree from a recognized institution
• Licensure to practice as an Optometrist in the relevant jurisdiction (as per state regulations)
• Prior experience in a clinical or hospital setting is highly desirable
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented healthcare environment
