Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assess visual acuity.
• Perform refraction, subjective and objective assessments, and prescribe spectacles/contact lenses.
• Carry out preliminary and diagnostic eye tests as per clinical protocols.
• Assist ophthalmologists during patient consultations, investigations, and procedures.
• Identify ocular abnormalities and refer patients to the ophthalmologist for further evaluation.
• Educate patients regarding eye health, vision correction, contact lens care, and preventive eye care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely documentation.
• Operate and maintain optometry and diagnostic equipment as per standard protocols.
• Provide courteous, professional, and patient-centric care.
• Follow the organisation's clinical, safety, infection-control, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, technicians, and front-office teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
