Job summary

Chirag Eye Care is seeking a seasoned optical professional to lead the optics department and provide personalised eye care. You will counsel patients, recommend premium lenses and frames, and coordinate with suppliers while maintaining showroom standards.

The role demands strong communication, ethical patient-centric service, and the ability to grow the department with a premium approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-6 years of optical retail sales experience.
• Strong knowledge of premium-category lenses and lens technologies.
• Experience counselling patients for progressive and premium lenses.
• Should have previous job references and employer details.
• Requires own conveyance (two-wheeler).

Role & responsibilities

• Provide personalized optical counselling to patients
• Lead the Opticals department of our eye clinic
• Recommend appropriate spectacle lenses and frames based on individual visual needs
• Be well versed in premium and high-end lens categories
• Have strong knowledge of progressive lenses, anti-reflective coatings, photochromic lenses, blue-light filtering solutions and advanced lens technologies
• Explain the advantages and differences between various lens options
• Help patients make informed decisions while maintaining a premium, ethical and patient-centric approach
• Coordinate with local fitters/lens suppliers
• Manage optical orders, measurements, delivery and follow-up
• Maintain optical inventory and showroom presentation
• Build strong, long-term relationships with patients
• Contribute to the growth and development of the optical department

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 5- 6 years of sales experience in optical retail or an eye care setting
• Strong knowledge of premium-category spectacle lenses and lens technologies
• Experience in counselling patients for progressive and premium lenses is highly desirable
• Should be well versed in dealing with ZEISS lenses
• Should have previous job reference and employer details
• Punctuality, integrity and being a team player is non negotiable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Candidate should have his/her own conveyance (2 wheeler)
