Job summary

Symbiosis Management Consultants is seeking a skilled CAD engineer to drive display system design for vehicles. You will perform CAD studies for variants, ensure plastic and sheetmetal feasibility, and collaborate with design, studio, and manufacturing teams to meet quality, cost, and time targets.

Responsibilities include releasing specifications to suppliers, applying DFMEA and GD&T, and coordinating with CFT for system integration, while keeping BOM and DVP records up to date.

Qualifications

• Proficient in CATIA V5 and 3DX for surface/assembly design.
• Experience delivering CAD studies for vehicle variants.
• Knowledge of plastics and sheet metal design and development.
• Familiar with display design, technology and child parts.
• Ability to perform tolerance stack-up and GD&T.
• Understanding BOM details of components.
• Collaborate with design engineers for system integration.
• Capable of DFMEA, design reviews and project management.
• Release technical specs to suppliers for display systems.
• Ensure cost targets without compromising quality; optimize via IMCR/VAVE.

Responsibilities

• Track display design release, development and validation.
• Address build and validation issues until SOP is reached.

Job description

• 1)Proficient in Surface/Solid modeling & Assembly Design using CATIA V5 and 3DX
• 2)Should be able to prepare & deliver presentations of the concepts.
• 3)Perform CAD studies for vehicle variants with Different platform.
• 4) Should have knowledge in Plastic and sheetmetal design and development.
• 5)Should have knowledge in display design,technology and Child parts.
• 6)) Should be able to do tolerance stack up & GD&T added advantage.
• 7) Should have knowledge on working of BOM details of components.
• 8)Perform high-level concept development to meet system and vehicle requirements while understanding how to optimize these systems for function, efficiency, cost, weight, ergonomics, manufacturability and serviceability.
• 9)Initiate, Interact with CFT & Design engineers for system integration to realise the required Display feature with Quality , Cost and Time.
• 10)Demonstrate ability to handle multiple competing work assignments from engineering, studio, and manufacturing.
• 11) Releasing all technical specification to suppliers for components/systems for Display systems.
• 12) Meeting the cost targets specified without compromising quality of the product and also bringing out some cost effective solution thro IMCR/VAVE activities.
• 13) Must demonstrate a high degree of problem solving ability, especially in the field of expertise. Usage of Quality tools, DFMEA,Design Reviews & Project management
• 14)Managing and tracking of Display design release, development, validation & field failures
• 15)Address and assist team for build & validation issues until SOP.
• 16)Interact with supplier from concept to SOP capturing all SOR requirements.
• 17)Should capture all technical requirements on SOR, DVP,TSO, TKO meeting all functional, interface quality & regulatory standards/requirements with in project time line
• 18)Collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure quality and production goals.
• 19)Conducting failure analysis on display defects to improve product quality.
• 20)Should know the design concepts and future technologies from global market and execution of the same
• 21)Fluent in use of personal computer programs such as Access, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.
