Job summary

Shanti Gd Ispat And Power is seeking a Fire Hydrant Operator to ensure reliable operation, maintenance, and readiness of fire hydrant systems, including pumps, motors, and piping, to safeguard the site and enable rapid response during emergencies.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining hydrant networks, performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on pumps and motors, checking pressures and flows, recording inspections, and coordinating with maintenance and safety teams

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial fire safety or site firefighting.
• Physically fit and able to handle emergencies.
• Knowledge of fire hydrant systems, pumps, and motor operations.
• Basic understanding of piping, valves, and pressure systems.
• Ability to document inspections and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain fire hydrant systems with pumps, motors, piping and valves.
• Conduct routine inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance of pumps and motors.
• Check pressure levels and flow rates; monitor pipelines and valve function.
• Identify and report faults or leaks in pipes and hydrants.

Job Title: Fire Hydrant Operator (Pump, Motor & Pipe Systems)

Salary Range: 15000 – 20000 P.M.

Purpose of the Role

To ensure efficient operation, maintenance, and readiness of fire hydrant systems, including pumps, motors, pipe and valves, to maintain site safety and enable quick response during emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain fire hydrant systems along with associated pumps, motors, pipe, and valves.
• Conduct routine inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance of fire pumps and motor systems.
• Check pressure levels, flow rates, and ensure proper functioning of pipelines and valve systems.
• Identify and report faults or leakages in pipes, valves, and hydrant networks.
• Ensure all firefighting equipment is functional and ready for emergency use.
• Respond promptly to fire emergencies and assist in firefighting operations.
• Maintain records of inspections, maintenance activities, and incident reports.
• Coordinate with maintenance, safety, and site teams for system upkeep and compliance.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and accessibility of all fire safety equipment.
• Follow all safety standards, SOPs, and emergency response procedures.
