Job summary

AFS Control Systems is seeking a Site Execution Engineer to lead on-site installation of mechanical and fire protection systems. You will supervise piping, pumps, valves, and associated equipment, ensuring work adheres to drawings, P&IDs, and quality standards while coordinating with clients and site teams.

You will plan manpower, equipment, and materials, manage safety and documentation such as DPRs and NCRs, and drive pre-commissioning, hydrostatic testing, and final handover.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on site execution experience in industrial/large-scale fire protection systems.
• Experience in Fire Hydrant Networks, Water Spray Systems, HVWS/MVWS, or Fire Suppression Systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation of fire protection systems including piping, fire pumps, valves, pump houses, and specialized nozzles.
• Ensure execution is carried out as per approved drawings, P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, technical specifications, and quality standards.
• Plan and allocate manpower, tools, equipment, and materials for smooth site execution.
• Coordinate with sourcing/procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with design/engineering teams to resolve technical issues at site.
• Maintain DPRs, M-Books, inspection reports, quality checklists, and NCR documentation.
• Lead pre-commissioning, hydrostatic testing, hydraulic flow testing, and final system commissioning.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and inspection/certification agencies during testing and handover.
• Ensure strict compliance with site safety requirements, statutory regulations, NFPA and IS standards.
• Supervise and manage site labour teams and ensure productivity and quality.
• Identify and resolve site execution challenges while maintaining project timelines and quality standards.

The role will be responsible for site execution, quality, safety, manpower, material coordination, testing, commissioning, and client coordination, ensuring projects are delivered on time and as per specifications.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of piping, welding procedures, and pump alignment.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of fire protection system components and equipment.
• Familiarity with brands such as Kidde, Honeywell, and Siemens is preferred.
• Strong manpower management, client coordination, and communication skills.
• Good problem-solving ability and willingness to work at project sites.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and timely project execution.
