Job summary

AFS Control Systems is seeking a Site Execution Engineer to lead on-site execution of mechanical and passive fire protection systems, including Fire Hydrant networks, HVWS/MVWS, and suppression systems. You will oversee site activities, coordination with clients, testing, commissioning, and ensuring work meets drawings and specs.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and at least 4 years of hands-on site execution experience on industrial fire protection projects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on site execution experience on industrial fire protection systems.
• Experience with Fire Hydrant Networks, Water Spray Systems, HVWS/MVWS or fire suppression systems.
• Ability to read P&IDs and engineering drawings.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and timely project execution.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation of fire protection systems (piping, pumps, valves, pump houses, nozzles).
• Ensure execution per approved drawings, P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, specs and standards.
• Plan and allocate manpower, tools, equipment and materials for smooth site execution.
• Coordinate with sourcing/procurement to ensure timely material availability.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs and technical documents.
• Coordinate with design teams to resolve site technical issues.
• Maintain DPRs, M-Books, inspection reports and NCR documentation.
• Lead pre-commissioning, hydrostatic and hydraulic tests and final commissioning.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and inspection agencies during testing and handover.
• Ensure strict site safety compliance with NFPA and IS standards.
• Supervise and manage site labor, ensure productivity and quality.
• Identify and resolve on-site execution challenges to meet timelines.

• Coordinate with sourcing/procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials.

• Coordinate with design/engineering teams to resolve technical issues at site.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma/Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on site execution experience in industrial/large-scale fire protection systems.
• Experience in Fire Hydrant Networks, Water Spray Systems, HVWS/MVWS, or Fire Suppression Systems.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of piping, welding procedures, and pump alignment.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of fire protection system components and equipment.
• Familiarity with brands such as Kidde, Honeywell, and Siemens is preferred.
• Strong manpower management, client coordination, and communication skills.
• Good problem-solving ability and willingness to work at project sites.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and timely project execution.
