Job summary

Visionary Recruitment Services Chennai is seeking an experienced Operations Team Lead to supervise daily activities, allocate workload, and maintain high service standards in our Insurance operations team in Chennai, India.

You will coordinate performance reviews, provide coaching, ensure backup planning, and manage placement documentation and broking systems data. Strong leadership and insurance background preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of insurance experience.
• Professional insurance qualifications FIII is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Operations team.
• Allocate work among team members and monitor productivity.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and training.
• Ensure adequate backup and succession planning within the team.
• Promote teamwork and maintain high service standards.
• Oversee placement documentation, slips, cover notes, endorsements, and policy issuance.
• Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of placement data in broking systems.
• Review and approve operational documents before submission to markets.
• Ensure timely processing of facultative transactions.
• Ensure claims notifications are submitted to reinsurers promptly.
• Monitor claims follow-up and recovery collections.
• Maintain claims registers and reporting records.
