Job summary

People Axis Advisory seeks a Fleet Operations professional to manage Electric Commercial Vehicle fleets across Bengaluru. You will optimize utilization, monitor deployment, and oversee charging and performance via telematics dashboards.

The candidate should have 1+ year in logistics or fleet operations, strong Excel and communication skills, and be comfortable with early shifts in a fast-paced setting. EV exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum education of +2 or higher secondary; degree/diploma in logistics adds value.
• 1+ year experience in logistics, warehousing, loading operations or fleet ops.
• Knowledge of loading procedures, vehicle capacity and safety norms.
• Experience in driver handling, vehicle deployment and day-to-day fleet operations.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and computer applications; ERP knowledge is a plus.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with drivers and teams.
• Organizational and problem-solving skills; proactive and disciplined in fast-paced environments.
• Willingness to work in warehouse/loading dock environments and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily driver briefings and ensure SOP adherence.
• Monitor driver behaviour, productivity and safety compliance.
• Resolve driver-related issues and coordinate manpower requirements.
• Maintain high standards of driver discipline and operational compliance.

• Ensure maximum vehicle utilization and fleet availability.
• Monitor vehicle deployment, trip completion and turnaround time.
• Coordinate vehicle allocation based on daily operational requirements.

• Ensure vehicle charging is completed as per operational requirements.
• Monitor route complocatliance, service levels, safety and overall operational efficiency.

Driver Management

• Supervise driver attendance, onboarding, training and performance.
• Conduct daily driver briefings and ensure adherence to operational SOPs.
• Monitor driver behaviour, productivity and compliance with safety guidelines.
• Resolve driver-related issues and coordinate manpower requirements.
• Maintain high standards of driver discipline and operational compliance.

• Should have practical knowledge of loading procedures, vehicle capacity and safety norms.
• Experience in driver handling, vehicle deployment and day-to-day fleet operations will be preferred.
• Should have basic knowledge of MS Excel and computer applications; ERP knowledge will be an advantage.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to manage drivers and operational teams.
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
• Should be proactive, disciplined and result-oriented, with the ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Comfortable working in warehouse/loading dock environments and in early morning, late-night and rotational shifts.
• Candidates who have exposure to EV/commercial vehicle operations will be an added advantage.
