Job summary

SkyCell is seeking an Operations Specialist to streamline end-to-end logistics, including shipments, warehousing, reverse logistics, and container movements. You will act as the main touchpoint for customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure efficient execution and data accuracy.

You’ll apply your expertise in pharma logistics, lead cross-functional projects, and drive digital transformation while maintaining compliance with SOPs and country-specific regulations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations, preferably in pharma or cold chain.
  • Leadership experience in international and cross-functional environments.
  • Strong knowledge of container logistics and reverse logistics.
  • Experience with digital transformation and automation initiatives.
  • Quality management systems, SOPs, and process documentation.
  • Proficiency with Confluence, Jira, Excel, and dashboarding tools.
  • Solid analytical and data-driven mindset.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management across cultures/time zones.
  • Ability to present complex topics concisely for executives.
  • English fluency; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Execute, monitor, and maintain checklists and operational activities (positioning, reverse logistics, warehousing, reception, QC, container selection).
  • Schedule and monitor client shipments and reverse logistics bookings for efficiency.
  • Act as primary contact for internal/external stakeholders and coordinate with third-party agents.
  • Troubleshoot supplier issues and implement country-level improvements.
  • Maintain Air/Ocean Fact Sheets across Excel, systems, and SkyNet platforms.
  • Identify tasks needing special handling and implement approved resolutions.
  • Maintain knowledge of freight forwarding, customs, and cost optimization.
  • Generate and file customer records, shipment docs, and related data.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, standards, filings, and regulations.
  • Maintain, update, and clean Master Data.
  • Maintain data integrity and reporting across operational processes.

Job description

As an Operations Specialist, you’ll help ensure the smooth and efficient execution of our logistics operations across regions. You’ll coordinate shipments, reverse logistics, warehousing and container movements while acting as a key point of contact for customers, suppliers and internal teams. You’ll also troubleshoot operational issues, maintain accurate data and documentation, and identify opportunities to improve processes and service delivery.

Location: We need this individual to be within commutable distance to Hyderabad, India given it is an on‑site position.

What You’ll Do:
  • Execute, monitor, and maintain checklists and operational activities, including positioning, reverse logistics, warehousing, reception, QC, and container selection

  • Schedule and monitor client shipments and reverse logistics bookings to ensure efficient execution

  • Act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders and collaborate with colleagues and third‑party agents to ensure operational efficiency and strong customer relationships

  • Troubleshoot supplier issues and identify, communicate, and implement country‑level setup improvements and resolutions

  • Maintain Air/Ocean Fact Sheets across Excel, system, and SkyNet platforms

  • Identify transactions and tasks requiring special handling, recommend process improvements to management, and implement approved resolutions within assigned responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of freight forwarding and logistics services, including order management, reverse logistics, customs brokerage, monitoring/control services, and cost optimization

  • Generate, file, and maintain accurate customer records, reports, shipment documentation, and related operational data

  • Ensure compliance with customer SOPs, company standards, government filings, and applicable regulations in each country

  • Maintain, update, and clean Master Data


What You’ll Bring:
  • Deep expertise in logistics, supply chain, or operations, preferably in the pharmaceutical or cold chain industry

  • Proven leadership experience in an international and cross‑functional environment

  • Strong knowledge of operational processes, including container logistics, service centre management, and reverse logistics

  • Experience in managing or contributing to digital transformation and automation initiatives

  • Solid understanding of quality management systems, SOP creation, and process documentation

  • High proficiency in using tools such as Confluence, Jira, Excel, and dashboarding tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data‑driven mindset

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across different cultures and time zones

  • Ability to present complex topics in a structured, concise, and executive‑friendly manner

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); knowledge of German is a plus
