Job Purpose
The Operations Specialist position provides an excellent opportunity to work at the intersection of technology, healthcare, and systems management by supporting the implementation and evaluation of AI driven interventions in real-world settings.
The Specialist will be responsible for
- Assessing the operational feasibility of AI solutions
- Supporting the design and rollout of evaluation protocols and field implementation plans
- Coordinating logistics and stakeholder engagement at pilot sites
- Mapping workflows and integrating AI tools within existing systems
- Developing and monitoring standard operating procedures and performance dashboards
- Facilitating training and capacity-building for site teams
- Troubleshooting deployment challenges
- Generating operational insights to improve system efficiency and scalability
The role offers exposure to digital health implementation, process evaluation, and multistakeholder coordination ideal for those interested in translating innovation into sustainable health system practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct desk reviews of AI solutions for operational feasibility and workflow integration.
- Support development and implementation of evaluation protocols, field SOPs, and monitoring frameworks (on-site travel).
- Assess deployment environment compatibility in coordination with solution developer; establish required systems infrastructure and data pipelines.
- Facilitate workflow mapping and integration of AI tools within existing clinical or operational pathways.
- Contribute to process evaluations and operational efficiency assessments during pilot phases.
- Lead training and capacity-building sessions for the pilot sites implementing the AI solution.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement and communications with pilot sites.
- Collaborate closely with clinical, ML, and behavioral researchers to align operational insights with broader evaluation goals.
Qualifications
- Master s in Management / Industrial Engineering or a related field
Skills
- Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills to work across technical, clinical, and research teams
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Meticulous attention to detail. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Capability to manage multiple tasks efficientlyWillingness to frequently travel to study sites to support pilot deployments
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing and evaluating digital health interventions
- Strong understanding of implementation research, health system workflows, and program logistics
- Experience developing SOPs, data management, monitoring frameworks, and operational dashboards
- Experience in the integration of digital solutions into existing systems architecture
