Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics in Delhi, India seeks an experienced Air Freight Manager to lead end-to-end air import/export operations, ensuring timely shipments and service quality. You will monitor KPIs, resolve escalations, and ensure compliance across DGCA, IATA, and customs regulations.

The role requires deep air freight knowledge, strong carrier negotiation skills, and a track record of improving margins and performance across international trade lanes.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of experience in international freight forwarding with at least 5 years in air freight management.
• Strong knowledge of air import/export operations, customs procedures, and airline regulations.
• Proven experience in carrier negotiations and rate procurement.

• Manage end-to-end air import and export operations.

• Monitor operational KPIs, shipment visibility, transit performance, and service quality.

Commercial & Business Development

• Support sales teams in RFQs, tenders, pricing, and strategic account management.
• Develop air freight growth strategies to increase market share and profitability.
• Identify new business opportunities and trade lane development initiatives.
• Work closely with key customers to design tailored logistics solutions.
• To be responsible for P&L of air export and import product and to ensure revenue and gross profit targets are achieved.
• Monitor shipment profitability and yield management.
• Control operational costs and improve efficiency.
• Lead, mentor, and develop air freight operational teams.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and training programs.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and compliance standards.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with global and regional teams to implement best practices.

Required Qualifications
