Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Monitor operational risks and implement safety and contingency measures.
  • Assist management in planning helicopter operations for various requirements.
  • Develop relationships with aviation service providers and government authorities.
  • Keep management updated on regulatory changes and challenges.
  • Represent Auramah Valley in regulatory discussions as needed.
  • Ensure timely resolution of operational and regulatory issues.

Position: Operations Manager – Helicopter Operations

Position Overview

Auramah Valley is seeking an experienced and well-connected Operations Manager – Helicopter Operations to oversee and manage helicopter/aircraft operations, regulatory compliance, aviation coordination, and operational planning. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the Non-Scheduled Operator (NSOP) category, sound knowledge of DGCA regulations and airport authority procedures, and an established professional network within the aviation regulatory ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee day-to-day helicopter and aircraft operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
  • Handle aviation operations under the Non-Scheduled Operator (NSOP) framework and ensure adherence to applicable DGCA regulations.
  • Coordinate with DGCA, Airport Authorities, AAI and other relevant aviation regulatory bodies for operational approvals, permissions, clearances and compliances.
  • Maintain strong coordination and professional relationships with DGCA officials and other key aviation stakeholders.
  • Ensure all operational activities comply with applicable DGCA CARs, regulations, procedures and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate aircraft/heliport/airport operations, including permissions, movement planning, landing and parking requirements, as applicable.
  • Liaise with airport authorities and other agencies for smooth execution of helicopter and aircraft movements.
  • Oversee operational documentation, records, permits, approvals, and regulatory correspondence.
  • Coordinate with pilots, ground-handling teams, maintenance teams, airport authorities and other service providers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor operational risks and ensure appropriate safety and contingency measures are in place.
  • Support the management in planning helicopter operations for business, executive, guest, project and other requirements.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with aviation service providers, airport operators, government authorities, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Keep the management updated on regulatory changes, operational challenges, approvals, and other aviation-related matters.
  • Represent Auramah Valley in discussions and coordination with regulatory authorities and aviation stakeholders whenever required.
  • Ensure timely resolution of operational and regulatory issues affecting helicopter/aircraft movements.
  • Provide strategic and operational guidance to the Chairman and Director on aviation-related matters.
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in helicopter or aircraft operations.
  • Strong experience specifically within the Non-Scheduled Operator (NSOP) category.
  • Extensive knowledge and practical experience in dealing with DGCA and Airport Authorities/AAI.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft and helicopter operations, aviation procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to coordinate with DGCA and other aviation regulatory authorities.
  • Excellent professional network and working relationships within DGCA and the aviation ecosystem.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation documentation, approvals, permissions, and compliance procedures.
  • Experience in coordinating airport/heliport operations and related clearances will be highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
