Job summary

Khazana Jewellery in Chennai is seeking a senior aviation operations lead to oversee aircraft acquisition, procurement, and charter/deal negotiations. You will liaise with flight crews, DGCA manuals, and airport authorities, ensuring regulatory compliance and smooth international operations.

The role demands a decisive leader with strong communication, cross-border contracting experience, and a deep understanding of aviation regulations, insurance, and maintenance contracts.

Qualifications

• Graduate with 25+ years in aviation operations
• Experience in charter operations and international destinations
• Familiar with DGCA manuals and aviation regulations
• Strong leadership and people management skills

Responsibilities

• Deal with Aircraft Acquisition, Procurement of Spares, negotiate with fuel companies to secure best deals, cross-border deals, engine and maintenance contracts
• Command pilots, quality control, operations, flight attendants, security
• Coordinate quality control and operations/security manuals for DGCA; be versed in manuals and writing new ones
• FDTL monitoring and planning
• Liaise with airport authorities and private operators
• Experience with charter operations regulations or NSOP (non-scheduled) operations
• Handle aircraft insurance contracts, aircraft act 1934, aircraft rules, customs, banking regulations
• Experience in major maintenance and aviation tech
• Oversee pilots training and licensing as well as cabin attendant training
• Experience with international destination operations
• Balance responsibilities between two crews of aircrafts

Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. Deal with Aircraft Acquisition , Procurement of Spares , Deal with fuel Companies to get best deals , Cross Border Deals , Engine Contracts , Maintenance Contracts and so on.
2. Command Pilots, Quality control, Operations, Flight attendants, Security.
3. Coordinate Quality control, Operations manual, Security manual to be passed at DGCA. The person should be well versed with manuals as new manuals to be written
4. FDTL monitoring and planning.
5. Liaison with Airport authorities and Private airport operators.
6. Experience in Charter operations regulations or NSOP Operations ( non-scheduled)
7. Well versed in Aircraft insurance contracts, Aircraft act 1934 and aircraft rules, Customs act/Customs duty, Banking regulations
8. Experience in major maintenance, aviation technical
9. Thorough with Pilots training, and licensing as well as Cabin attendant training
10. Should have handled operations particularly international destinations.
11. Balancing among the two sets of Aircraft crew.

Preferred candidate profile

Any Graduate with at least 25 years of experience in relevant field.
