Ekya Schools is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to oversee all non-instructional functions at the Head Office and across CMR K–12, Ekya Schools, and CMR PU Colleges. Role Overview The Senior Operations Manager will oversee all non-instructional functions across CMR K–12, Ekya Schools and CMR PU Colleges. This role leads a team of 3–4 team members at the Head Office and is responsible for entire Non Academic Processes at HO and Campuses, enabling academic teams to focus fully on student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Process Ownership
● Mentor and manage a team of 3–4 Head Office Team members to achieve operational objectives.
● Design, document, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all non-academic functions.
● Drive SOP adoption across campuses through regular audits and site visits to ensure consistent execution.
● Own the end-to-end procurement cycle, including but not limited to, textbooks, uniforms, lab and sports equipment, and housekeeping supplies.
● Identify and evaluate vendor partners, negotiate contracts, and manage smooth onboarding, including Annual service contracts like Housekeeping, Security and Meals
● Maintain accurate inventory and asset management systems across all campuses to ensure operational continuity without excess stock.
3. Infrastructure, IT & New Project Management
● Oversee infrastructure maintenance and manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) to ensure campuses remain safe and well-maintained.
● Lead new campus readiness and project setups in partnership with Infrastructure Management team, including building handovers and space preparation ahead of the academic year.
● Manage IT infrastructure in coordination with internal teams and external providers, including Wi-Fi, CCTV, biometric systems, printers, and device asset registers.
● Manage leasing operations for auditoriums and sports infrastructure to trusted partners during non-school hours, ensuring safe and profitable use of assets.
● Monitor budgets by reviewing and approving purchase orders, tracking invoicing, managing petty cash, and ensuring timely vendor payments.
5. Compliance
● Manage statutory compliance and governance reporting with local authorities (BBMP, BDA, Fire, and Life & Safety departments).
● Conduct continuous audits across campuses to ensure ongoing adherence to regulatory and operational standards.
● Provide operational support during affiliation inspections to ensure smooth coordination and readiness.
6. People Support
● Partner with HR to support recruitment, onboarding, and training of non-academic staff across campuses.
7. Governance
● Conduct regular team reviews to track performance against operational goals.
● Carry out periodic campus check-ins to monitor on-ground execution and address issues proactively through cross-functional and campus coordination.
● Report outcomes and progress through structured weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to Management.
Candidate Requirements
● Experience: Minimum 8 years in operations, business administration, or a related field. Experience in K–12 schools or multi-location educational institutions is strongly preferred.
● Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in a relevant discipline preferred.
● Technical Skills: Excellent IT skills including Google and MS suite, adept in using ERP and Big Data systems

● Proficiency in budgeting, financial tracking, and compliance documentation.
