Job summary

Renergy Systems India seeks an experienced Operations Manager to oversee solar project operations in Trivandrum, Kerala. The role covers end-to-end project execution, installation activities, and coordination with vendors, customers, and internal teams.

The candidate will lead engineers, supervisors, electricians, installation teams, procurement, stores, sales and accounts to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to safety standards. 7–10 years in rooftop solar is preferred.

Qualifications

• /7–10 years of experience in Solar Energy / Rooftop Solar industry.
• /Experience in solar project operations, installation, EPC execution, rooftop solar, site management, or solar project management.
• /Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• /Strong knowledge of rooftop solar installation, electrical systems, project execution, testing, commissioning, and site operations.
• /Experience managing multiple project sites, installation teams, vendors, customers.
• /Strong leadership, planning, communication, negotiation, decision-making, problem-solving.
• /Knowledge of Kerala rooftop solar market, DISCOM procedures, electrical regulations, and local practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end rooftop solar and installation projects from handover to commissioning and final handover.
• Plan and monitor project schedules, manpower, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and site requirements.
• Lead and coordinate Project Engineers, Site Supervisors, Electrical Technicians, Installation Teams, Procurement, Stores, Sales and Accounts.
• Supervise multiple project sites and optimize manpower and resources.
• Ensure projects are completed within timelines, budgets, quality standards and customer requirements.
• Coordinate site surveys, material planning, installation, testing, commissioning, documentation, and handover.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, electrical contractors, transporters, and other external agencies.
• Monitor material availability and coordinate with Purchase and Stores to avoid delays.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, rooftop safety procedures, PPE, and company policies.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve operational, technical, manpower, quality, and execution-related issues.
• Maintain progress and handover documentation and reports.
• Handle customer coordination and timely resolution of project-related issues and complaints.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Operations Manager with strong hands-on experience in the Solar Energy, Solar Projects, and Rooftop Solar industry. The candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end project operations, installation activities, manpower, materials, vendors, site execution, quality, safety, customer coordination, and timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end operations of rooftop solar and solar installation projects from project handover to commissioning and final handover.
• Plan and monitor project schedules, manpower, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and site requirements.
• Lead and coordinate Project Engineers, Site Supervisors, Electrical Technicians, Installation Teams, Procurement, Stores, Sales and Accounts.
• Supervise multiple project sites and ensure optimum utilization of manpower and resources.
• Ensure projects are completed within approved timelines, budgets, quality standards, and customer requirements.
• Coordinate site surveys, material planning, installation, testing, commissioning, documentation, and project handover.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, electrical contractors, transporters, and other external agencies.
• Monitor material availability and coordinate with Purchase and Stores teams to avoid project delays.
• Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety standards, rooftop safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
• Conduct regular site inspections and resolve operational, technical, manpower, quality, and execution-related issues.
• Maintain project progress reports, site reports, material consumption records, manpower deployment, commissioning reports, and handover documentation.
• Handle customer coordination and ensure timely resolution of project-related issues and complaints.
• Monitor project costs and minimize material wastage, rework, downtime, and operational expenses.
• Prepare daily/weekly operational plans and provide regular project performance reports to management.
• Develop and implement SOPs, operational systems, quality standards, manpower plans, and performance KPIs.
• Lead, train, motivate, and evaluate operations and installation teams to improve productivity and project performance.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 7–10 years of proven professional experience specifically in the Solar Energy / Solar Project / Rooftop Solar industry.
• Candidates with experience in solar project operations, installation, EPC execution, rooftop solar, site management, or solar project management will be preferred.
• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Strong practical knowledge of rooftop solar installation, electrical systems, project execution, testing, commissioning, and site operations.
• Proven experience managing multiple project sites, installation teams, vendors, subcontractors, and customers.
• Strong leadership, planning, communication, negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Kerala rooftop solar market, DISCOM procedures, electrical regulations, and local project execution practices will be an advantage.
