Job summary

JK Fenner (India) Limited in Hyderabad seeks an Operations Lead to oversee procurement, supplier development, and end-to-end sourcing in a multi-plant environment.

You will manage SAP MM-based POs, drive cost savings, coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores and Finance, and lead 5S/Lean initiatives to improve OTIF and efficiency.

Graduates with 5-10 years in engineering product/auto components, and exposure to CNC/VMC machining, are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5–10 years of experience in multi-plant manufacturing with automation projects.
• Experience in PP & MM SAP modules.

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify, and onboard new suppliers for raw materials, bought-out components, machining and other allied services.
• Drive supplier development programs to improve supplier capability, quality, capacity, cost competitiveness, and delivery performance.
• Manage end-to-end procurement activities including supplier evaluation, negotiation, supplier selection, and order finalization.
• Create, release, monitor, and close Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP to ensure timely material availability.
• Follow up on open POs, expedite critical materials, and ensure adherence to delivery schedules.
• Develop alternate sources to reduce supply risks, improve quality, and achieve cost savings.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on Quality, Cost, Delivery, Development and Digitalization (QCDDD) parameters and implement improvement plans.
• Coordinate with Suppliers, Production, Quality, Stores, and Finance teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Optimize inventory levels, reduce procurement lead times, and support value engineering and cost reduction initiatives.
• Support Operational Excellence initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, Lean, and JIT practices.
• Working Knowledge in CNC, VMC, Machining etc.

Education: Graduate or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 5 - 10 Years of Experience

Desirable Experience: 5 - 10 Years of Experience in PP & MM Module (SAP)
