Job summary

Ghar Soaps seeks an Operations Head to oversee all internal operations and corporate services, driving a build-and-professionalize mandate for a fast-growing consumer brand. Lead S&OP, procurement, quality/regulatory, marketing operations, customer support, tech/data, and admin for scalable, compliant delivery.

The role requires 15+ years in FMCG/D2C operations, 5+ years leading multiple functions at a large revenue company, and a data-driven approach. Based in Pune or willing to relocate.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in consumer/FMCG/D2C operations.
• 5+ years leading multiple functions at a 1000 Cr+ revenue company.
• Strong S&OP and supply chain depth.
• Experience managing corporate services beyond physical ops.
• Built systems and teams; comfortable in founder-led, fast-decision environment.
• Data-driven with dashboards and weekly rhythms.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all internal operations and corporate services for scalable, compliant execution.
• Lead S&OP, demand planning, warehousing, logistics, and inventory management.
• Guide procurement, vendor development, and contract-manufacturer management.
• Ensure regulatory readiness (CDSCO/BIS, FDA/MoCRA) across products.
• Manage marketing operations, budget governance, and agency contracts.
• Oversee customer support, CX SLAs, and escalation systems.
• Build tech/data/BI, ERP, dashboards, automation, and analytics.
• Lead admin and facilities operations.

Role Summary:

The operations head will oversee all internal operations and corporate services the functions that keep a fast growing consumer brand running reliably, compliantly, and cost-efficiently at scale. This is a build-and-professionalize mandate: several functions have capable leads but founder-dependent processes; others need to be built from scratch.

Scope (Direct Verticals)

1. 1. Supply Chain demand planning/S&OP, warehousing, logistics, inventory (DOH targets across D2C, marketplace, QC, offline)
2. 2. Purchase & Procurement RM/PM sourcing, contract-manufacturer management, vendor development, cost programs
3. 3. Quality & Regulatory — CDSCO/Cosmetics Rules 2020, BIS, batch quality, CM audits; US regulatory (FDA/MoCRA) readiness
4. 4. Marketing Operations — marketing MIS, budget governance, agency contracts and SLAs (strategy stays with the revenue org)
5. 5. Customer Support — CX team, SLAs, escalation systems
6. 6. Tech / Data / BI — ERP, dashboards, automation, analytics (to be built)
7. 7. Admin & Facilities

What We're Looking For:

• 15+ years in consumer/FMCG/D2C operations, with 5+ years leading multiple functions at a 1000 Cr+ revenue company (ops head of a large D2C brand at scale)
• Proven S&OP and supply chain depth — this is the anchor skill
• Experience managing corporate services (HR, legal, compliance) beyond physical ops — ex-conglomerate, ex-consulting-to-operator, or GM-track profiles fit well
• Has built systems and teams, not just run inherited ones; comfortable in a founder-led, fast-decision environment
• Data-driven operating style: dashboards, weekly rhythms, written processes
• Exposure to offline FMCG distribution and/or international expansion is a strong plus
• Based in or willing to relocate to Pune
