Placenet Consultants is seeking an Operations & Freight Analyst - Logistics for Raheja Towers, Anna Salai, Chennai. The role requires 5–6 years of North American logistics, freight procurement, carrier sourcing, and supply chain expertise, with a Bachelors or Masters in a relevant field.

You will manage day-to-day NA logistics, review BOLs and freight docs, validate movements against rates and SLAs, and develop dashboards in Excel and Power BI. Shift: 2 PM–11 PM (UK); salary: 5.5 LPA.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–6 years of experience in North American logistics and freight procurement.
• Hands-on RFQ/RFP, freight rate analysis, and carrier negotiations experience.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to develop sourcing recommendations; Power BI is a plus.

Position: Operations & Freight Analyst - Logistics

Qualification: Bachelor's / Master's in Supply Chain or Engineering preferred

Experience: 5-6 years of experience in NORTH AMERICAN logistics, freight procurement, carrier sourcing, & supply chain

Shift Time: 2 PM to 11 PM (UK Shift) Oneway cab will be provided (doorstep drop alone)

Job Location: Raheja Towers (Anna Salai).

Salary: 5.5LPA

Experience Required:

• Strong knowledge of North American trucking and freight transportation, including equipment/trailer types
• Hands‑on experience with RFQ/RFP processes, freight rate analysis, carrier negotiations, and bid comparisons.
• Understanding of lane analysis, freight pricing, accessorial charges, transit times, and carrier capacity.
• Experience managing carrier/supplier relationships, performance tracking, and transportation documentation.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to compare rates, evaluate carrier proposals, and develop sourcing recommendations.
• Advanced Power BI is a Plus

Key Responsibilities:

• - Manage/support day-to-day North America logistics and transportation operations
• - Review transportation docs: BOLs, PODs, OS&D reports, carrier schedules
• - Validate freight movements against contracted rates, SLAs, commercial terms
• - Review freight invoices/accessorial charges for unsupported or incorrect charges
• - Apply knowledge of trailer/equipment types (flatbed, step deck, double drop, dry van, etc.)
• - Apply FOB Origin vs. FOB Destination implications
• - Develop/maintain operational reports, dashboards, analytical models (advanced Excel & Power BI)
