Job summary

Kushaagra Innovations Foundation, Pune (KIF) is an implementation agency delivering integrated Waste Management Solutions to value waste and reduce waste going to landfill. This role requires 4-5 years of field experience in social/environment projects and eligibility with MSW or Environmental backgrounds.

The position involves handholding SHGs, coordinating field teams, liaising with ULBS, and driving awareness programs on waste management.

Qualifications

• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fieldwork experience in awareness generation, livelihood support and/or working with women SHGs.
• Experience of planning and guiding a field team on project activities.
• Experience working with ULBS.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of waste management.

Responsibilities

• Handholding women from SHG groups in livelihood generation projects.
• Providing operational support in the collection, recycling, and selling of products from solid waste.
• Manage logistics and resource allocation, and resolve on-the-ground issues.
• Lead the team of field workers and coordinators on Behaviour Change Communication activities.
• Tracking and reporting the project progress and taking responsibility to meet the project KPI.
• Liaise with local bodies, SHGs, and communities to ensure support and participation.
• Undertaking training and capacity-building programs with SHGs and government officials, towards awareness about waste and waste-based business models.
• Build understanding of SWM-Collection, segregation, handling, and disposal methods.

Kushaagra Innovations Foundation, Pune (KIF) is an implementation agency delivering integrated Waste Management Solutions to value waste and thus reduce waste going to landfill. Our expertise also lies in technical advisory and capacity-building programs. We work closely with respective Government departments and Urban Local Bodies across Maharashtra for the same.

Being a Section 8 company, KIF is a not-for-profit organisation. We are in need of candidates from social backgrounds (such as MSW), Technical expertise (such as Urban Planners), and Environmental studies (Bachelors / Masters in Environmental Planning) in addition positions in Data, Research, etc. are also there.

Key Responsibilities:
