Job summary

Greythr in Tamil Nadu is seeking a Field Operations Coordinator to supervise waste collection staff and drivers while monitoring routes and ensuring timely pickups.

You will reinforce waste segregation at households, organize awareness campaigns, and support on-site composting efforts. Strong communication, field willingness, and knowledge of the local language are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in Waste Management or development sector preferred
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Willingness to work extensively in the field
• Knowledge of local language preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise door-to-door waste collection staff and drivers; maintain attendance and work-hour records.
• Monitor waste collection, vehicle routing, utilisation, and timely collection.
• Maintain waste collection, segregation, inventory, and WMU records.
• Reinforce waste segregation at household level and provide feedback to households.
• Identify areas with poor segregation and conduct awareness activities.
• Organise awareness campaigns, surveys, and community training activities.
• Assist in composting activities and monitor on-site composting.
• Identify and map local scrap dealers and local champions.
• Collect field photos and provide daily updates to the Project Coordinator.
