Job summary

Recity Network Private Limited, Mumbai, is seeking an Associate Enterprise Development to coordinate with WSHGs, NGOs, and government officials to support enterprise development and market linkages in the plastic waste value chain.

You will work on training, program management, monitoring, and field visits to ensure effective implementation and sustainable SHG-oriented ventures in urban development projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Rural/Urban Development/Management/Development Studies or Social Work.
• Experience of working with Government Departments and NGOs.
• Proficient with MS Office and Google web applications; budgeting knowledge is a plus.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills in English and Hindi.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, delivering objectives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with WSHGs, NGOs, CBOs, Recity team, and government officials.
• Support WSHGs on skills and plastic-based enterprises aligned to interests.
• Develop market, financial, and technical linkages for enterprises.
• Coordinate with partners and donors to strengthen SHWGs.
• Ensure training, reviews, meetings, and program management; provide handholding support.
• Conduct market study of products (Rakhi, clothing, handloom, etc.).
• Market and sell products; guide SHGs to run sustainable businesses.
• Prepare reference materials, manuals, IECs, videos, articles.
• Develop an M&E plan with progress reports and MIS updates.
• Document business plans, DPRs, market plans, and success stories for dissemination.
• Conduct field visits and monitor activities; organize review meetings.
• Represent Recity in relevant forums and conferences.

Core Responsibilities

• Coordinate with WSHGs, Local NGOs, other CBOs, the Recity team, and government officials of Municipal corporation, NUNL, Employment and Training dept, and other line departments


• Support WSHGs on skills and plastic-based or other enterprises based on their interest, consumption, institution building, and marketing.


• Work towards developing the market, financial, technical linkages, etc.


• Coordinate with different partners, collaborators, and donors, to strengthen WSHGs


• Ensure training, reviews, meeting, workshop organization, program management, monitor project activities, and regular handholding support to WSHGs.


• Market study of the product.( Rakhi, clothing, or any other handloom products by SHG)


• Marketing and Sales of the product, handholding SHG to sustainably run the business.


• Prepare reference/reading materials, modules/manuals/posters, IEC materials, videos, articles, etc.


• Develop an M&E plan including preparation of consolidated progress reports and regularly update all the MIS Database


• Document business plans, DPRs, market plans, and success stories and disseminate them through different channels and platforms, etc. for the WSHGs


• Regular field visits to different project locations and conduct regular monitoring/ review meetings with WSHGs to ensure effective implementation.


• Represent Recity in different forums/workshops/seminars/conferences related to WSHGs activities.


• Bridging the gap between Social and Financial Inclusion

Education And Experience

• Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree in Rural/ Urban Development/Management/ Development Studies or Social Work


• Candidate must have experience of working with Government Departments and NGOs.


• Candidate must be well versed with MS Office and Google web applications. Basic knowledge in budgeting and accounts will be an additional advantage.


• Strong communication and negotiation skills (highly preferable), English, and Hindi.


• Ability to work independently to achieve performance objectives and deliverables; & Work in a team and promote team spirit and culture
