Job summary

PI Industries Ltd. seeks an Operations Excellence Site Representative to drive and execute OE activities at the Jambusar/Panoli site. You will implement strategic models to transform business processes and foster a continuous improvement culture.

Candidate should have BE in Engineering and 10–15 years of experience, including 6–8 years in OE leadership roles within Pharmaceuticals/ Agrochemicals sectors. Reporting to Lead OE.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to execute Operational Excellence initiatives across the organization.
• Plan, execute and roll out OE targets as per management expectations.
• Ability to train people on Operation Excellence across levels from Junior to Senior.
• Present the findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Understand technical issues related to chemical plant and provide productivity enhancements.
• Good command of productivity/process improvement tools and execute the same in OE activities.
• Familiarity with 5S, TPM, WCM, Fish Bone analysis, PERT, etc.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, TQM, Minitab, SPC tools desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and implement Operational Excellence systems/projects to improve productivity.
• Identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency and report to leadership.
• Address obstructions in the OE plan using trouble shooting tools and SPC.
• Coordinate Focused Improvement Teams and monitor progress.
• Implement OE systems on site based on established practices and standards.
• Collaborate with production and quality to drive sustainability-focused process improvements.
• Drive Autonomous Maintenance and Daily Management Teams, Continuous Improvement Processes.
• Constitute and monitor Focused Improvement Teams and assess processes across DMTs/AMTs.
• Ensure predictive & preventive maintenance schedules to increase uptime and reliability.
• Develop alternate approaches for productivity improvements (why-why, SPL, Abnormalities, KPOV).
• Perform benchmarking and implement best practices across functions.
• Handle day-to-day OE administration and budgeting; track financial performance.
• Support management with new business process initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.

Position Purpose

The Operations Excellence Site Representative is responsible for driving & executing Operation Excellence activities to improve operations and business processes at assigned site. The role is also responsible to implement strategic models to transform current business process and create a continuous improvement culture in the organization.

Strategic Responsibilities

Operational Responsibilities

• Monitor and implement Operational Excellence systems / projects in DMTs and AMTs to improve productivity
• Identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency (workflow, systems, material usage, cost) and report to leadership
• Identify areas of obstruction / breakdowns in the given OE plan to plants and rectify the issues by implementing trouble shooting tools, SPC tools etc.
• Coordinate formation and working of Focused Improvement Teams as per need and ensure their success is monitored on regular basis
• Implement systems on site for Operational Excellence based on established practices and standards for the organization
• Collaborate with production and quality departments at the site and initiate sustainability focused process improvements to exceed customer expectations
• Drive site specific activities related to, but not restricted to:
• Autonomous Maintenance Teams and Daily Management Teams
• Continuous Improvement Process
• Constitute Focused Improvement Teams and monitor their performance
• Assess the process being followed in all DMTs and AMTs
• Ensure predictive & preventive maintenance schedules for critical equipment’s to increase machine uptime & equipment reliability
• Develop alternate approach for improvements in productivity parameters in plant i.e. – why-why analysis, SPL, Abnormalities studies, KPOV study etc. for improving operation efficiency
• Perform benchmarking studies and implement best practices in all functional areas
• Perform day to day administration of OE functions
• Ensure planning and execution of new business process initiative
• Provide technical support to other functions on Operational Excellence processes
• Maintain operations excellence budget; establish timelines; provide support to management team
• Track financial performance and reports on quantifiable goals and objectives
• Ensure achievement of cost saving initiatives to achieve targeted savings in time frame
• Manage the administrative requirements of record keeping, research, calendar management, and institutional reporting to funders

Education Qualification
