Job summary

TalentQuell in Raigarh, India seeks an experienced Operational Excellence professional to drive continuous improvement in steel manufacturing. You will lead Lean Six Sigma projects across rolling mills, utilities, and maintenance, translating improvements into cost savings.

You should have 7–10+ years in manufacturing operations, strong hands-on experience in integrated steel plant operations, and expertise in DMAIC, TPM, OEE, 5S, and FMEA.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of relevant experience in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing Operations, Process Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience in steel, metals, heavy manufacturing, power generation, or closely related industry.
• Hands-on experience in integrated steel plant operations is highly preferred.
• Experience in Rolling Mills, Captive Power Plant, Utilities, Maintenance, Process Engineering, or Quality.
• Strong understanding of Lean Six Sigma and DMAIC methodology.
• Strong knowledge of TPM, OEE, Kaizen, 5S, SPC, FMEA, 8D, RCA, and process capability analysis.
• Understanding of steel manufacturing and metallurgical operations.
• Knowledge of power plant efficiency metrics (PLF, heat rate, auxiliary consumption, thermal efficiency).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in Minitab or equivalent statistical software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI/Tableau.
• Ability to quantify project benefits and translate improvements into financial savings.

Job description
