Job summary

AGCO in Pune is seeking an experienced Operational Buyer to execute tactical and transactional procurement activities across EME and North America, ensuring material availability and supplier performance.

You will manage SAP procurement transactions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, monitor KPIs, and develop data-driven insights with Power BI and Excel to support automation and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, SCM, procurement, business administration, commerce, or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in Operational Buying, Procurement Operations, Tactical Procurement, Purchasing, or Direct-Material Procurement.
• Experience in a global manufacturing environment, preferably automotive, industrial, agricultural equipment, or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of SAP procurement processes, PO/SA management, supplier expediting, Goods Receipt coordination, VIM, and invoice resolution.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end procurement and sourcing activities (CPM, NPI, PCA, RFI/RFP/RFQ, PPAP/IBQ).
• Manage procurement transactions in SAP: POs, Scheduling Agreements, PPAP orders, goods receipt.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve operational and supply chain issues.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery commitments, procurement KPIs, and invoice discrepancies; mitigate risks.
• Prepare KPI reports and dashboards using Power BI and advanced Excel to enable data-driven decisions.

AGCO is seeking an experienced Operational Buyerto execute tactical and transactional procurement activities across EME and North America. The role ensures material availability, supplier performance, timely procurement execution, invoice resolution, and process compliance, while supporting Category Buyers in selected strategic sourcing activities.

Your Impact

• Executed end-to-end procurement and sourcing activities, including CPM, NPI, PCA, RFI/RFP/RFQ management, PPAP/IBQ processes, and supplier onboarding support.


• Managed procurement transactions in SAP by creating and maintaining POs, Scheduling Agreements (SAs), prototypes, and PPAP orders while ensuring timely order fulfilment and goods receipt.


• Collaborated with cross-functional stakeholders including Category Buyers, suppliers, logistics, quality, engineering, manufacturing, warehouses, and Accounts Payable to resolve operational and supply chain issues.


• Monitored supplier performance, delivery commitments, procurement KPIs, and invoice discrepancies; proactively mitigated risks related to supply, pricing, delivery, and payments through VIM and SAP.


• Manage procurement data and prepare accurate KPI reports and dashboards using Power BI, advanced Microsoft Excel, macros, HTML, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to support automation, trend analysis, operational insights, and data-driven decision-making.

Your Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Commerce, or related discipline.


• Minimum 6 years and a maximum of 10 years of relevant experience in Operational Buying, Procurement Operations, Tactical Procurement, Purchasing, or Direct-Material Procurement.


• Experience in a global manufacturing environment, preferably automotive, industrial, agricultural equipment, or engineering.


• Strong knowledge of SAP procurement processes, PO/SA management, supplier expediting, Goods Receipt coordination, VIM, and invoice resolution.


• Strong knowledge of procurement KPI reporting and data-management experience, with hands-on proficiency in Power BI, advanced Microsoft Excel, macros, HTML, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools.
