Job summary

Alstom in Bangalore seeks an experienced Operation Manager, Record to Report to lead R2R operations across geographies, ensuring SLA adherence and cost efficiency. The role requires CA or CA Inter, 12+ years in accounting with 4+ years in people management, and strong governance.

You will drive process integration, standardization across Shared Services, work with global controllers, and oversee automation initiatives with RPAs and SAP and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• CA or CA Inter graduate with strong accounting fundamentals.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory.
• Deep understanding of Record to Report processes and accounting.
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and end-to-end close.
• Knowledge of forex transactions and reporting.

Could you be the full-time Operation Manager, Record to Report in Bangalore we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive financial expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and collaborative teammates.

You’ll provide leadership and organization of Record to Report operations across all integrated geographies. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (R&B controllers, project controllers, site/finance controllers), manage the Record to Report Operations of the GFC, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of developing, integrating, and transferring processes and teams from different regions to the GFC, but also drive standardization of the Record to Report processes in the Shared Services.

We’ll look to you for:

• Managing the Record to Report Operations efficiently and cost-effectively
• Meeting or exceeding SLA and quality standards
• Contributing to the strategic objectives of the GFC
• Driving balance sheet reconciliation process and improvements
• Building and maintaining robust governance with all regions served by the GFC
• Creating, retaining, and developing a strong team with the necessary skills and expertise

• CA or CA Inter Graduate
• Proficiency in English (mandatory)
• Deep understanding of Record to Report process/accounting
• Good expertise on balance sheet reconciliations, understanding the Reconciliation Policy, and experience in end-to-end balance sheet processes
• Understanding of Forex transactions including derivatives, Exchange Gain/Loss on Forex and Reporting
• Experience in driving Month-close/Period close processes
• A Green Belt in Six Sigma certification is desirable
• Intermediate skills in SAP and MS Excel, PowerPoint
• More than 12 years of experience in accounting with at least 4+ years in people management roles
• Experience with automations and RPAs
