Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess current operations, workflows, and KPIs to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Lead initiatives on production optimization, energy efficiency, turnaround planning, margin improvement, and reliability.
• Support operations excellence across refineries, gas processing plants, NGL fractionation, LNG facilities, terminals, and pipelines.
• Propose innovative solutions leveraging latest industry trends and technologies.
• Facilitate workshops to gather requirements and align roadmaps with digital strategies.
• Design and implement operations management solutions including logbooks, task management, and SOPs.
• Lead or support end-to-end implementation of MES, DOPs, and performance dashboards.
• Provide guidance to IT teams for integration with plant systems (historians, LIMS, CMMS, planning).
• Provide post-implementation support and optimization.
• Collaborate with leadership to define performance objectives and accountability structures.
• Contribute to business development including solution proposals and RFP/RFQ responses.

We are seeking a highly skilled Midstream & Downstream Operations Management Consultant to support clients in driving operational excellence, digital transformation, and performance improvement across midstream, gas processing, LNG/NGL, refining operations. The ideal candidate will possess deep industry knowledge, hands‑on experience in refinery processes, and the ability to lead strategic initiatives that enhance safety, reliability, margin, and efficiency. Consulting experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess current operations, workflows, and KPIs to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities
• Lead initiatives focused on production optimization, energy efficiency, turnaround planning, margin improvement, and reliability.
• Support operational excellence initiatives across refineries, gas processing plants, NGL fractionation facilities, LNG facilities, terminals, and pipeline operations.
• Propose innovative solutions for operations management leveraging the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Facilitate collaborative workshops with client teams to gather requirements, assess solution feasibility, and define implementation roadmaps aligned with enterprise digital strategies
• Design and implement operations management solution including Operations Logbook, Task Management, Digital Operating Procedures, Operating Instructions, Digital Troubleshooting, Digital Rounds.
• Lead /Support end‑to‑end implementation of digital tools such as Operations Management Suite, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Digital Operating Procedures (DOPs), and performance dashboards from requirements gatherings to deployment.
• Provide functional guidance to technical teams for integration of operations management solutions with plant systems such as historians, LIMS, CMMS, planning and scheduling, and other operational systems.
• Provide post implementation support, including troubleshooting and system optimization.
• Work closely with senior leadership, and functional teams to define performance objectives and accountability structures.
• Contribute to business development activities, including solution proposals, RFP/RFQ responses, demonstrations, and development of solution approaches and estimate

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, or equivalent
• 5 to 15 + years of experience in process industry operations or operations consulting
• Experience in one or more of refining, gas processing, NGL, LNG, midstream, pipeline, terminal, or downstream operations.
• Proven experience in facilitating cross‑functional collaboration and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Strong understanding of operating procedures, task management, and logbook compliance in process industries.
• Working knowledge of Operations Management Suites such as: Honeywell Forge OM, AVEVA Production management, Yokogawa OMS or similar solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non‑technical audiences.
• Familiarity with advanced technologies such as AI/ML for predictive analytics.
