Job summary

Indiana Maritime in Mumbai seeks an Operations Engineer (Process) to provide onshore operational and technical support for FPSO process systems from the Mumbai base office. You will monitor offshore production, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with offshore teams to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Responsibilities include reviewing operating procedures, supporting shutdowns/startups, analyzing process data, and maintaining technical documentation.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Offshore, FPSO, Refinery, Petrochemical or Process Industry.
• Offshore production/process operations experience preferred.
• FPSO operational support experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide onshore operational and technical support for FPSO process operations.
• Monitor daily production parameters, process performance, and operational efficiency.
• Analyze production trends, process data, alarms, and operational upsets.
• Coordinate with offshore teams for process troubleshooting and optimization.
• Support process systems including crude oil separation, gas compression, produced water treatment, water injection, utilities and flare systems.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing operating, shutdown, and start-up procedures.
• Support production planning, performance monitoring, and optimization initiatives.
• Conduct process calculations, performance analysis, and operational studies.
• Support incident investigations and RCA.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, E&I, Marine, Maintenance and HSE teams.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, company standards, and applicable regulations.
• Support offshore campaigns, shutdowns, commissioning and start-up activities when required.
• Maintain operational records, technical documentation, and reporting dashboards.

We are looking for a technically competent and proactive Operations Engineer (Process) to provide onshore operational and technical support for FPSO operations from the Mumbai base office. The role will involve monitoring offshore production processes, troubleshooting operational issues, coordinating with offshore teams, and supporting safe and efficient operation of FPSO process systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide onshore operational and technical support for FPSO process operations.
• Monitor daily production parameters, process performance, and operational efficiency.

Desired Candidate Profile

Educational Qualification

• Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering / Petrochemical Engineering / Process Engineering.

Experience

• 2 - 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Offshore, FPSO, Refinery, Petrochemical, or Process Industry.
• Experience in offshore production/process operations is preferred.
• FPSO operational support experience will be an added advantage.

Technical Skills

• Good understanding of oil & gas production and process systems.
• Knowledge of separation processes, gas handling & compression, produced water treatment, process control philosophy, and utility systems.
• Understanding of Process Safety and HAZOP concepts.
• Ability to interpret PFDs, P&IDs, Cause & Effect Diagrams, and Process Datasheets.
• Exposure to process simulation or process monitoring tools is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Soft Skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively with offshore and onshore teams.
• Good reporting and documentation skills.
