Apply today!# **Job Details****Responsibilities:*** Edits and maintains export and import jobs in WorldStar* Performs routing checks, including the selection and combination of transport models (airplane, car, train)* Orders drivers for delivery and pickup of shipments at End-user Location offices and freight companies* Checks collected and received shipments in the office and prepares them for End-user Location route books and pre-advises shipments* Monitors shipments during transport and reacts flexibly to any deviations from the plan* Continuously checks notes in WorldStar and handles pre-advised shipments* Checks planned departure and arrival times of flights (Post Flight Check)* Reviews internal debits and credits (Clearinghouse)* Recognizes important operational information and acts immediately on it (All Stations Emails, Holiday Lists, Operations Memos)* Works in compliance with all relevant regulations and laws (International Air Transport Association, local laws and ordinances)* Uses and maintains technical tools (WorldStar, OpStar, Atlas, Flight Monitor)* Manages the sorting area, including packaging, supplies, and cooling media* Communicates with national and international World Courier stations and agents* Builds and maintains relationships with contractors and transport partners, including airlines, handling agents, rail operators, customs, government agencies, veterinarians, and suppliers* Preliminary actions:* Pre-conditions and pre-places packaging materials and cooling media* Marks and labels shipments in accordance with regulations* Prepares and/or procures all required documentation (House Air Waybill, Master Air Waybill, import/export permits, export customs paperwork, live animal certificates, dangerous goods declarations, etc.)* Customs formalities:* Carries out all export and import customs formalities* Inspects and/or procures all necessary customs documentation (import/export permits, export customs paperwork, etc.)* Determines applicable customs duties and taxes and enters them into WorldStar* Submits customs declarations electronically or online at the responsible customs office* Handles customs procedures including export declaration, verbal customs declarations for low-value clearance, and CARNET procedures.**Reports Directly To:**The Operations Executive is subordinate to the Operations Supervisor, Operations Manager, or rather to the General Manager of Aero Link**Work Environment:**The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
