Job summary

Tekskills is seeking a Release & Environments Manager to own the cross-technology release management process, design and optimise policies, and ensure environment readiness across the GPS Value stream.

You will coordinate with PM, TM and Architecture teams, develop environment roadmaps, and manage provision and refresh of environments through the application lifecycle while maintaining uptime and calendars for testing and operations.

• Owns the cross-technology domain release management process, including design, optimisation and policy.
• Oversees the overall process for all environment updates, upgrades, and maintenance across facilities, infrastructure, applications and operations.
• Works with PM, TM, Architecture teams and E2E Environment Manager; owns provision and access of GPS VS environments and maintains environment standards.

Job description

1. The Release & Environments Manager owns the cross-technology domain release management process, and is responsible for process design, optimisation, and policy.

2. Under the governance of program change management, release management oversees the overall process by which all environment in GPS Value stream is updated, upgraded, and maintained. This includes all types of change across facilities, infrastructure, applications and operations.

3. The Release & Environments Manager, works closely with the PM, TM, Architecture teams across SVS and VS and E2E Environment Manager and will own the provision and access of the environments in GPS VS as well as ensuring the environment standards are maintained and met throughout projects & BAU

4. Ability to create environment roadmaps based on multiple project requirements, set environment guidelines, along with the provision and management of environments (release, refreshes) through the application lifecycle through to release while coordinating Database and environment refreshes (including obfuscation where required) for testing and operational use

5. Develops, monitors, and enforces release management processes and policies.

6. Coordinates release program activities

7. Develop and maintain the forward plan the release schedules and cycles across VS & SVS

8. Responsible for managing environment downtimes & ensuring the uptime and availability with maintaining environment calendars
