Job summary

PepsiCo seeks a Quality Lead for the Potato Chips line to steer product quality from a QC perspective. You will reduce defects, conduct PC-line audits, ensure GMP/GLP compliance, and drive safety and TPM initiatives while training operatives and supporting process improvements.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in Food/Beverage/FMCG, a B.Tech in Food Tech or Dairy Tech, and familiarity with HACCP/AIB and ISO systems.

Qualifications

• B.Tech Food Tech degree or Dairy technology.
• 3–5 years in Food/Beverage/FMCG industry.
• Exposure to food safety systems and ISO.
• Prefer HACCP/AIB and TPM knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead Potato Chips – Product Quality as QC PC Line Champion.
• Lead consumer complaints reduction due to potato defects and sensory.
• Lead PC line process audits; advise Mfg & Eng on Boil Out.
• Provide quarterly trainings to PC operatives; perform Youden tests.
• Ensure quarterly process capability testing of PC line.
• Document per PepsiCo standards; ensure statutory/internal controls.
• Implement safety standards and promote safe culture.
• Drive TPM, Safety, AIB and productivity.
• Train operatives for TPOD, seasoning, oil, packaging quality.
• Lead NPD trials and first-time-right packaging improvements.
• Participate in 3P, CFA, DB audits, and market visits.

• Ensuring best quality of product and minimum customer complaints through stringent on-line quality control checks and finished product inspection
• Implementing right quality control systems/standards for the processes, physical systems and environment.
• Trouble shooting during online production to minimize wastage and ensure quality.
• Responsible for maintaining GMP, GHK GLP and internal / external audits (HACCP, AIB, Personal Hygiene, Process audit)
• Root cause and failure analysis for quality defects and implementation of the corrective actions

• Lead the agenda of Consumer complaint reduction due to Potato Defects and Sensory
• Lead the process audits at PC line and provide inputs to Mfg & Engg on Boil Out Jobs
• Ensure Quarterly trainings to PC Operatives and conducting Youden testings
• Ensure Quarterly process capability testing of PC line
• Ensuring documentation as per PepsiCo standard and Statutory guidelines and Ensuring statutory (Legal Metrology), internal controls (I2C) and legal compliance
• Implement safety standards and build safe working culture.
• Implement GMPs and best practices as per PepsiCo Programs
• Drive corporate agenda- TPM, Safety, AIB and Productivity.
• Training to operatives for TPOD, seasoning, oil quality, meal quality, packaging quality
• Leading NPD trials-First time right to ensure timely completion of trials and implementation of improved packaging configuration.
• 3P, CFA, DB Audit, market visits

Qualifications

• B.Tech Food Tech Degree, or Dairy technology
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Food/Beverage/FMCG industry
• Exposure to food safety systems and ISO systems
• Preferably Knowledge of HACCP/AIB and TPM.
