Job summary

PepsiCo in India seeks a Quality Lead for the Potato Chips production line. You will champion product quality from the QC side, drive consumer-complaint reduction and lead process audits to improve yield and compliance.

The role requires 3–5 years in Food/Beverage/FMCG, exposure to food-safety/ISO systems, and knowledge of HACCP/AIB and TPM. You will implement GMPs and safety standards while delivering training and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• B.Tech Food Tech Degree, or Dairy technology is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in Food/Beverage/FMCG industry.
• Exposure to food safety systems and ISO standards.
• Preferably HACCP/AIB and TPM knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead Potato Chips – Product Quality as QC Line Champion.
• Drive consumer complaint reduction due to potato defects and sensory issues.
• Lead PC line process audits and advise Manufacturing & Engineering on Boil Out Jobs.
• Conduct quarterly trainings for PC operatives and Youden testing.
• Perform quarterly process capability testing of PC line.
• Maintain PepsiCo documentation and ensure compliance with statutory guidelines.
• Implement GMPs, safety standards and PepsiCo programs.
• Drive TPM, AIB, safety and productivity initiatives.
• Train operatives on TPOD, seasoning, oil quality and packaging quality.
• Lead NPD trials to ensure first-time-right packaging configurations.

Overview

• Ensuring best quality of product and minimum customer complaints through stringent on-line quality control checks and finished product inspection
• Implementing right quality control systems/standards for the processes, physical systems and environment.
• Trouble shooting during online production to minimize wastage and ensure quality.
• Responsible for maintaining GMP, GHK GLP and internal / external audits (HACCP, AIB, Personal Hygiene, Process audit)
• Root cause and failure analysis for quality defects and implementation of the corrective actions

Responsibilities

• Lead the Potato Chips – Product Quality while working as PC Line Champion from QC Side.
• Lead the agenda of Consumer complaint reduction due to Potato Defects and Sensory
• Lead the process audits at PC line and provide inputs to Mfg & Engg on Boil Out Jobs
• Ensure Quarterly trainings to PC Operatives and conducting Youden testings
• Ensure Quarterly process capability testing of PC line
• Ensuring documentation as per PepsiCo standard and Statutory guidelines and Ensuring statutory (Legal Metrology), internal controls (I2C) and legal compliance
• Implement safety standards and build safe working culture.
• Implement GMPs and best practices as per PepsiCo Programs
• Drive corporate agenda- TPM, Safety, AIB and Productivity.
• Training to operatives for TPOD, seasoning, oil quality, meal quality, packaging quality
• Leading NPD trials-First time right to ensure timely completion of trials and implementation of improved packaging configuration.
• 3P, CFA, DB Audit, market visits

Qualifications
