Job summary

Lend A Hand India seeks an Officer/Senior Officer to drive central project management for its Catalyst program. Based in Pune, you will collaborate with state PMU teams to deliver knowledge products, SOPs and concept notes that guide skill education delivery at scale.

You will work under the CPMU leadership, engaging with IAS officials and district stakeholders to improve decision making, planning and implementation across 20+ states.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years in Education project & Govt projects at State/District level
• Prior experience in Education/Skill Development or Govt fellowship preferable
• Experience in Govt PMU setup & working with IAS officials is preferred
• Ability to write clearly and translate complexity into simple guidance for state/national officials

Responsibilities

• Develop and update knowledge products for Skill Education delivery at scale (training, labs, books, internships, teacher onboarding)
• Coordinate with 20+ State PMU teams to drive outcomes at state level
• Act as central knowledge expert for skill education areas for State PMUs
• Advocate knowledge product utilization by IAS officials, district officials, school leaders and teachers

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for centrally driving the strategic outcomefor the Catalyst program of Lend A Hand India under the guidance of Manager-CPMU.(Catalyst program is spread in 20+ States of India where our State PMU teams providestrategic support to State Govts on Skill Education to drive key outcomes). This position isresponsible for (i) building/updating strategic knowledge products for Skill Educationdelivery at Scale (e.g-Training, Skill Labs, Books, Internship, Skill Teachers onboardingetc) in all State Govt schools (ii) Work with 20+ State PMU teams to drive outcome at statelevel through the support of these knowledge produced created (iii) Act as centralknowledge expert for some of the skill education area to whom different State PMUs canreach out (iv) Advocate the utilization of knowledge products by Senior bureaucrats (IAS),District Officials, School HMs/Teachers for their better decision making, planning in relationto Skill Education delivery at Scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Building/updating strategic knowledge products for Skill Education delivery atScale (e.g-Training, Skill Labs, Books, Internship, Skill Teachers onboarding etc) inall State Govt schools. Products example: Knowledge PPT for IAS official; SOPs onthese areas, Concept notes, Best Practices documentation etc
• Working with 20+ State PMU teams to drive outcome at state level through thesupport of these knowledge produced created
• Act as central knowledge expert for some of the skill education area to whomdifferent State PMUs can reach out
• Advocate the utilization of knowledge products by Senior bureaucrats (IAS),District Officials, School HMs/Teachers for their better decision making,planning in relation to Skill Education delivery at Scale.
• Keeping tab of what is happening in 20+ States Skill Education implementationthrough LAHI State PMU teams & drive outcomes accordingly through CPMU team
• Maintain/Update Central Trackers: which gives insights on what is happening in20+ States Skill Education delivery to Senior Leadership of the org
• Need based Visit to different States: to understand State level implementation;advocate about strategic areas to State & District level Govt officials; get trained onself-capacity building through State visit exposure etc
• Team Meetings: Organize, lead, or facilitate meetings and events involving LAHIteams & external stakeholders as per need
• Take up any other work & opportunity as part of Central PMU team under theguidance of Manager-CPMU & Head-CPMU team of Lend A Hand India

Requirements

1. Overall experience of 2-5+ years in Education project & working on GovtProjects at State/District level

2. Prior experience of Education/Skill Development /Govt fellowship preferable(Gandhi, TFI, MGNF etc)

3. Prior experience of working in Govt PMU (preferable)

4. Experience in Program Management / Monitoring / relevant fields (desirable)

5. Prior experience of working in Govt department PMU setup, working with Seniorbureaucrat (IAS officials) at State level is preferred

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Management, Public Policy, or any relevant discipline .
• Master’s degree in Education, Social Work, Development Studies, Management, Public Policy, or a related field will be an added advantage.
• Candidates with academic exposure to Education, Skill Development, Government Programs, Public Policy, or Development Sector will be preferred.
  
• Technical Skills: Experience of developing knowledge documentation forIAS/State level Govt officials use: State level presentations for SeniorBureaucrats; Concept Notes, SOPs
• Visual storytelling skills: Proficient in using tools like Canva, PowerPoint, AIplatforms & other design platforms to develop presentations for IAS, SOPs etc
• Writing skills: Strong, coherent, structured & thoughtful writing skills focusingon offering coherent solution for large scale govt projects
• Ability to write clearly and translate complexity into simplicity
• Soft Skill: Ability to get things done; Action Oriented, Humble, can work with crossstate teams; self-driven; do not require follow ups; meets agreed deadlines;passionate about his/her work
