Olive PharmaScience is seeking an Engineer Officer to coordinate maintenance, utilities, and facility activities in a cGMP pharmaceutical setting. You will ensure equipment reliability, documentation, and timely responses to breakdowns, coordinating with production and QA teams.

The role requires 2–4 years of experience, a Diploma or BE in Mechanical/Electrical, and a hands-on approach to maintenance and safety compliance within a modern manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in engineering/maintenance.
• Experience in a cGMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Responsabilités

Job Description

An Officer - Engineering is responsible for coordinating engineering operations, equipment maintenance, utility management, and facility-related activities to ensure reliable and efficient plant operations. The involves preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, coordination with production and quality teams, and compliance with applicable GMP, engineering, and safety requirements.

• Coordinate day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities.
• Plan and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Inspect production equipment, machinery, utilities, and facility systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify operational abnormalities.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and resolution of equipment breakdowns.
• Ensure timely maintenance of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and utility systems as applicable.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Utilities, and other departments.
• Monitor equipment availability and minimize operational downtime.
• Maintain engineering logbooks, maintenance records, and work orders.
• Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities.
• Monitor the availability of spare parts, tools, and engineering consumables.
• Coordinate equipment installation, modification, and commissioning activities.
• Support calibration, qualification, and validation activities where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with equipment-isolation and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Monitor contractor activities and external maintenance services.
• Support investigations into recurring equipment failures.
• Implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
• Ensure engineering areas and equipment are maintained in a safe and clean condition.
• Participate in engineering audits, inspections, and safety reviews.
• Follow GMP, EHS, engineering SOPs, and organizational policies.
• Prepare maintenance reports and provide operational updates to management.
• Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and engineering process improvement.
