An Officer - EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) is responsible for implementing and monitoring environmental, occupational health, and workplace-safety practices within the organization. The includes conducting safety inspections, identifying hazards, supporting risk assessments, investigating incidents, coordinating safety training, maintaining EHS documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable environmental and safety regulations.

• Implement EHS policies, procedures, and safety programs.
• Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and audits.
• Identify workplace hazards and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Support risk assessments and job safety analysis activities.
• Monitor compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain EHS registers, reports, permits, and compliance documentation.
• Conduct employee safety awareness and training programs.
• Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Coordinate fire-safety inspections and emergency evacuation drills.
• Support emergency preparedness and response activities.
• Monitor waste segregation, handling, and disposal practices.
• Ensure safe handling, storage, and use of chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Monitor permit-to-work procedures for activities such as hot work, confined-space entry, and work at height, where applicable.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Utilities, HR, and other departments on EHS matters.
• Monitor housekeeping, workplace hygiene, and safe working conditions.
• Track corrective and preventive actions and follow up on closure.
• Support environmental monitoring and statutory compliance activities.
• Participate in internal audits, external inspections, and regulatory reviews.
• Prepare periodic EHS performance reports and safety statistics.
• Promote employee participation in safety initiatives and hazard reporting.
• Ensure compliance with applicable environmental and workplace-safety laws.
