Job summary

With over seven years of experience running early intervention therapies and a team of 40+ therapists, Ability Advocacy offers structured, multidisciplinary support. The founder's IT background and hands-on experience in special needs care position the organization at the intersection of innovation, clinical expertise, and compassionate services for children and their families.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Occupational Therapist role based in Bengaluru. The Occupational Therapist will assess children's developmental, sensory, motor, and functional needs, and design individualized therapy plans to improve daily living skills, social participation, and academic readiness. Responsibilities include delivering one-on-one and group therapy sessions, documenting progress, collaborating with families, educators, and other therapists, and adjusting interventions based on ongoing evaluation. The role also involves contributing to early intervention programs, integrating technology-enabled tools where appropriate, and participating in case discussions and team meetings to ensure coordinated care.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, including assessment, treatment planning, and intervention for children with developmental and sensory needs.
  • Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Pediatrics and Medicine relevant to child development, neurodevelopmental conditions, and early intervention practices.
  • Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to collaborate with families, children, multidisciplinary teams, and school staff, and to provide clear guidance and education.
  • Candidates should possess the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting and adapt therapy plans using technology-based tools where appropriate.
  • Recognized degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution; relevant registration or licensure as required by local regulations.
  • Experience working with children with Autism or other developmental disabilities in early intervention or pediatric settings is highly beneficial.
  • Strong documentation, observation, and case management skills, with attention to detail and ethical, client-centered practice.
  • Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru and manage a consistent full-time caseload while maintaining professional boundaries and cultural sensitivity.
