Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose obstetric and gynaecological conditions.
• Provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
• Conduct and manage vaginal deliveries.
• Perform or assist in Caesarean sections and other procedures according to qualifications and hospital privileges.
• Manage obstetric and gynaecological emergencies.
• Conduct OPD consultations and inpatient rounds.
• Review investigations and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
• Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment, risks, and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.
• Follow hospital protocols, infection-control procedures, and patient-safety standards.
• Participate in teaching, clinical audits, and departmental meetings where applicable.

• Monitor maternal and fetal wellbeing.
• Manage normal and high-risk pregnancies.
