Job summary

Vibrant Greentech, Hyderabad, is seeking an experienced O&M Head to lead operations across solar and wind assets in South India. The role oversees plant performance, regional O&M teams, contractors, safety, and operational excellence to maximize availability and efficiency.

The candidate should have 8–12+ years in utility-scale operations, strong SCADA/inverter knowledge, and proven team leadership across multiple sites. Hyderabad HQ, travel to sites required.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience in utility-scale solar and/or wind power plant operations.
• Strong understanding of SCADA systems, inverters, transformers, HT/LT equipment, and grid operations.
• Experience managing multiple renewable energy assets across different locations.
• Proven ability to lead geographically dispersed teams and contractors.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel periodically to project sites across South India.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced O&M Head to lead the operations and maintenance function for multiple solar and wind power plants across South India.

Based out of our Hyderabad headquarters, the role will oversee plant performance, regional O&M teams, contractors, safety, and operational excellence across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership and operational planning to maximize plant availability, generation, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Plant Operations & Performance

• Monitor generation, availability, and key performance indicators across all operating plants.
• Drive improvements in plant efficiency, CUF, and equipment reliability.
• Review daily operational reports and ensure timely resolution of performance issues.
• Ensure plants consistently meet contractual obligations and generation targets.

O&M Strategy & Asset Management

• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies across the asset portfolio.
• Standardize O&M processes, documentation, and operating procedures across all sites.
• Optimize plant lifecycle performance while minimizing downtime and maintenance costs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using SCADA and remote monitoring systems.

Team & Vendor Management

• Lead and mentor regional O&M engineers, site supervisors, and plant teams.
• Manage EPC partners, inverter OEMs, contractors, and third-party service providers.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to service-level agreements.
• Build a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence.

Safety, Compliance & Regulatory

• Ensure compliance with statutory, electrical, environmental, and safety regulations across all project sites.
• Coordinate with DISCOMs, SLDCs, CEIG, and other regulatory authorities as required.
• Lead periodic safety audits and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Budgeting & Operational Planning

• Prepare annual O&M budgets and monitor operational expenditure.
• Optimize maintenance costs without compromising plant performance.
• Forecast spare parts requirements and oversee inventory planning across sites.

Reporting & Leadership

• Prepare monthly operational dashboards and management reports.
• Present plant performance, risks, and improvement plans to senior leadership.
• Support strategic decisions related to asset management, expansion, and operational planning.
• Coordinate closely with project execution, finance, and commercial teams.
