Job summary

Tech Mahindra in Mumbai is seeking an AR payments specialist to process and upload payments to multiple AR systems and to help design new processes that boost department efficiency.

You will handle daily balancing, cheque and wire payments, investigate inquiries, review suspense items, and contribute to process improvements and ad hoc reporting. Collaboration with Cash Accounting and business groups will be essential.

• Ability to balance daily payment uploads and bank mail payments.
• Proven track record in process improvement.
• Strong attention to detail and issue resolution.

• Create payment upload files for intercompany transfers and posting requests.
• Maintain group mailboxes and guide on payment issues to business groups.
• Collaborate with Cash Accounting to balance transfers between AR systems.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and policy updates.
• Involvement in projects and ad hoc reports as required.

Objectives:

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and uploading payments to multiple AR systems. This individual will also be responsible for creating and implementing new processes to enhance efficiency within the department.

Responsibilities:

• Daily balancing on payment uploads and Symcor mail payments
• Process cheques and wires from multiple banks and post payments to various AR systems.
• Investigate and resolve payment inquiries from various AR systems
• Review payments in suspense accounts from various AR systems and transfer to correct accounts
• Review and action on un-processable items sent back from Symcor
• Create payment upload files by compiling intercompany transfers and payment posting requests
• Maintain the groups mailboxes and provide guidance on payment-related issues to various business groups.
• Work with the Cash Accounting group for balancing transfers between various AR systems
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and policy updates where necessary
• Involvement in projects as required
• Ad hoc reports or special analysis as required
