Job summary

Faurecia in Pune, India seeks an experienced NVH engineer to lead acoustic simulations for exhaust systems. You will set up simulations, analyze results, and present findings to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with NVH targets.

The role involves collaboration with design, testing, and development teams to drive acoustic performance improvements. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in NVH/acoustics, hands-on tool experience, and strong report writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in NVH / acoustic simulation
• Strong experience in exhaust acoustics and NVH simulation
• Experience in developing exhaust design concepts, methodologies, standards and procedures
• Hands-on experience with GT-Power, GT-SpaceClaim, Ricardo Wave, Actran, Star CCM+, Fine Acoustics
• Good understanding of NVH testing, measurement and simulation correlation
• Experience in technical report preparation, presentation and design recommendations
• Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-processing, simulation setup, post-processing and technical report preparation for NVH simulations.
• Prepare and present simulation results to development and cross-functional teams.
• Support exhaust design development considering NVH and acoustic requirements.
• Validate designs against defined NVH targets.
• Provide simulation support for measurement and testing activities and correlate simulation results with test data.
• Develop design solutions and recommendations for exhaust systems from an acoustics perspective.
• Work closely with the extended product development core team.
• Review the quality of simulations performed by NVH engineers.
• Track quality and on-time delivery of assigned work requests.
• Identify and share lessons learned, best practices and simulation methodologies.
• Support development and execution of technical training plans and evaluate training effectiveness.
• Drive root-cause analysis for quality and delivery issues through Line QRCI and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Strong experience in exhaust acoustics and NVH simulation.

• Hands-on experience with commercial simulation tools such as:GT-Power, GT-SpaceClaim, Ricardo Wave, Actran, Star CCM+, Fine Acoustics.


• Good understanding of NVH testing, measurement and simulation correlation.


• Experience in technical report preparation, presentation and design recommendations.
