Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual, quarterly, and monthly work plans; coordinate field teams; and track outputs and outcomes.
• Implement community nutrition and health interventions covering maternal, child, adolescent, and women’s nutrition, anemia, dietary diversity, hygiene, sanitation, and preventive care.
• Strengthen SHGs, VOs, CLFs, VHSNCs, and community volunteers; conduct capacity building on nutrition and health.
• Promote nutrition-sensitive agriculture, household gardens, safe food practices, and dietary diversity.
• Facilitate convergence with Health, ICDS, MSRLM, NHM, MAVIM, Agriculture, and Tribal Development programmes.
• Maintain monitoring systems and MIS; report and document lessons; build partnerships with departments and NGOs.
• Organize camps, campaigns, consultations, and community learning platforms.

Project Overview The "Empowerment of Women Farmers in Gadchiroli" project will work with tribal communities in the remote villages of Dhanora and Korchi blocks. It aims to strengthen women's institutions, climate-resilient agriculture, forest and livestock-based livelihoods, nutrition and health, inclusive participation, and evidence-based programme delivery. The approach emphasizes community ownership through women's SHGs, producer organizations, Gram Sabhas, government convergence, and sustainable local enterprises.

The coordinator will lead planning, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of interventions to improve nutrition, health, and well-being among women farmers, adolescent girls, children, and vulnerable tribal communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare annual, quarterly, and monthly work plans; coordinate field teams; and track outputs and outcomes. Implement community nutrition and health interventions covering maternal, child, adolescent, and women's nutrition, anemia, dietary diversity, hygiene, sanitation, and preventive care.
• Strengthen SHGs, VOs, CLFs, VHSNCs, and community volunteers. Conduct capacity building on nutrition, maternal and child health, adolescent health, WASH, BCC, nutrition gardens, and food diversity.
• Promote nutrition-sensitive agriculture, household gardens, safe food practices, and dietary diversity.
• Facilitate convergence with Health, ICDS, MSRLM, NHM, MAVIM, Agriculture, and Tribal Development programmes.
• Maintain monitoring systems and MIS; track progress; report; and document cases and lessons. Build partnerships with departments, CSR partners, NGOs, research institutions, health facilities, and community organizations.
• Organize camps, campaigns, consultations, workshops, exposure visits, reviews, and community learning platforms.
• Ensure quality implementation, accountability, sustainability, gender equality, and compliance.

Qualification

Masters degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Community Health, Food Nutrition, Rural Development, Home Science, Development Studies, or a related discipline.

Experience

Minimum 5-6 years in nutrition, public health, maternal and child health, rural health, community nutrition, women's empowerment, or tribal development programmes.

Languages:
