Job summary
Motherhood Women & Children's Hospital in Noida is seeking a Team Leader - NICU to supervise neonatal nursing care and coordinate staff across shifts. You will allocate duties by patient acuity, monitor vitals, ensure documentation, and support surgeons and neonatologists in critical cases.

Qualifications
- Nursing degree required (GNM/BSc Nursing).
- Post Basic Diploma in Neonatal Nursing preferred.
- 3–8 years of NICU nursing experience are desirable.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily nursing operations within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
- Allocate nursing duties according to patient acuity, workload, and staff competencies.
- Ensure adequate nursing coverage across shifts and coordinate staff deployment.
- Monitor the quality of neonatal nursing care and adherence to clinical protocols.
- Conduct regular rounds to assess newborns’ conditions and nursing care practices.
- Ensure timely monitoring of neonatal vital signs and clinical parameters.
- Guide staff in caring for premature, low-birth-weight, and critically ill newborns.
- Ensure accurate administration of medications, fluids, and nutritional support.
- Monitor compliance with ventilator care, oxygen therapy, and other neonatal protocols.
- Ensure proper functioning of incubators, radiant warmers, monitors, and emergency equipment.
- Coordinate with neonatologists during emergencies and critical interventions.
- Adhere to infection prevention, hand hygiene, and aseptic practices.
- Monitor nursing documentation, medication charts, feeding records, and handovers.
- Support neonatal resuscitation and emergency response protocols.
- Identify training needs and guide staff in improving competencies.
- Assist in orientation of new NICU nursing personnel.
- Address routine patient care and staff concerns, elevating critical issues.
- Coordinate with labs, radiology, pharmacy, and other departments for NICU needs.
- Communicate with parents regarding care processes and guidance.
- Monitor NICU supplies and equipment availability.
- Participate in infection control audits, nursing audits, and quality improvement activities.
- Report safety incidents, equipment issues, and operational concerns to the Nursing In-charge.
- Support NABH compliance and hospital policies in NICU.
