Job summary

Motherhood Women & Children's Hospital in Gurugram is seeking a Nursing - LDR to provide specialized care for women during labour, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to women admitted to the Labour and Delivery Room.
  • Assess and monitor maternal vital signs and fetal status.
  • Monitor fetal heart rate and other fetal well-being parameters as assigned.
  • Assist obstetricians during labour, delivery, and related procedures.
  • Prepare patients for normal, assisted, or operative delivery as required.
  • Monitor labour progress and report abnormal findings promptly.
  • Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, and treatments within professional scope.
  • Prepare delivery-room instruments, equipment, medicines, and emergency supplies.
  • Maintain aseptic techniques and infection-control practices.
  • Assist during obstetric emergencies and resuscitation procedures as trained.
  • Support immediate newborn care and coordinate with the neonatal team.
  • Assist with maternal and newborn identification and safety procedures.
  • Monitor mothers during the immediate postpartum period.
  • Observe for postpartum complications and elevate concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate labour, delivery, medication, and nursing records.
  • Coordinate with obstetricians, pediatricians, anesthesiologists, laboratory, and blood bank teams.
  • Provide appropriate education and emotional support to mothers and attendants.
  • Assist with breastfeeding initiation and basic post-delivery care guidance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the LDR.
  • Ensure availability of essential medicines, consumables, and equipment.
  • Follow biomedical-waste-management and patient-safety procedures.
  • Participate in shift handovers, audits, and emergency drills.
  • Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
