The Nursing Officer provides professional nursing care to patients and supports the medical team in delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centred healthcare. The involves assessment, medication administration, treatment support, patient monitoring, documentation, health education, emergency care, infection prevention, and coordination with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to assigned patients.
  • Conduct nursing assessments and monitor patient condition.
  • Record vital signs and other relevant clinical parameters.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to authorized orders.
  • Assist doctors during clinical procedures and interventions.
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and report abnormalities.
  • Maintain accurate nursing records and clinical documentation.
  • Assist with admission, transfer, discharge, and referral processes.
  • Prepare patients for investigations, procedures, and surgery.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care as assigned.
  • Assist with emergency response, CPR, and resuscitation activities.
  • Support patient hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and comfort.
  • Follow medication safety and infection-control procedures.
  • Maintain readiness and cleanliness of patient-care areas.
  • Monitor nursing supplies and report shortages or requirements.
  • Educate patients and families regarding care and treatment as appropriate.
  • Coordinate with doctors, allied healthcare professionals, and support teams.
  • Participate in nursing rounds, audits, and quality improvement activities.
  • Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
  • Follow hospital policies, nursing standards, and patient-safety requirements.
