Job Description
A Nursing Officer is responsible for delivering professional nursing services, monitoring patient care, administering treatments, coordinating healthcare activities, and ensuring adherence to nursing standards, patient safety, and quality-care practices.
- Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients.
- Assess patient condition and monitor clinical progress.
- Administer medications and prescribed treatments.
- Assist doctors during clinical procedures and examinations.
- Perform nursing procedures according to professional standards.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and records.
- Monitor patient response to treatment and interventions.
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding healthcare plans.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Follow infection-control and medication-safety practices.
- Assist in emergency and critical-care situations.
- Participate in patient admission, transfer, and discharge activities.
- Maintain nursing equipment and supplies.
- Participate in shift handovers and care coordination.
- Support patient-safety and quality-improvement programs.
- Assist in mentoring and guiding junior nursing staff where required.
- Participate in audits, training, and professional-development activities.
