Job Description
A Staff Nurse - Nursing is responsible for delivering direct patient care, administering treatments, monitoring patient progress, maintaining nursing records, and supporting safe and effective healthcare delivery in assigned departments.
- Provide nursing care according to patient needs and treatment plans.
- Monitor patient condition and vital signs regularly.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments safely.
- Assist doctors during clinical procedures and patient examinations.
- Perform wound care, dressings, and nursing procedures.
- Maintain nursing notes and patient-care documentation.
- Monitor patient response to interventions and treatments.
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding care requirements.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Follow infection-prevention and patient-safety practices.
- Assist with emergency care and resuscitation activities.
- Maintain availability of nursing equipment and supplies.
- Participate in shift handovers and care coordination.
- Support admission, transfer, and discharge activities.
- Report clinical concerns promptly to appropriate personnel.
- Participate in nursing audits and quality initiatives.
- Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Follow nursing standards and professional ethics.
- Participate in training and competency-development activities.
- Follow hospital policies and clinical protocols.
