Job summary

Cyient Limited in Pune seeks a BE/ME Mechanical Engineer with 5-7 years of experience to drive CAD-driven integration for heavy vehicle systems. You will apply GD&T, build CATIA V5 models, review drawings, and manage PLM/PDM workflows for BOM creation.

You will develop technical concepts, engage in VAVE activities, and ensure design quality and timely delivery of assigned tasks, working across engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BE/ME Mechanical Engineer with 5-7 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and design fundamentals.
• Experience with CATIA V5 for 3D modelling and drafting.
• Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems and ECN workflows.
• Ability to develop NPD concepts for heavy commercial vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate manufacturing drawings per standards.
• Build CAD models and assemblies for integration and BOM creation.
• Lead technical concept development and VAVE activities.
• Work independently to handle critical tasks and ensure on-time delivery.

Job description

• 1. Should have knowledge of NPD of On / off highway vehicles, material handling or mobile equipment’s,
• vehicle integration of different automobile aggregates.
• 2. Sound knowledge of different sub-systems in heavy commercial vehicles, trucks, tractor trailers etc.
• 4. Should have knowledge about materials used in structural design.
• 5. Technical concept development, knowledge of VAVE.
• 6. Good understanding of design and engineering fundamentals, GD&T.
• 7. Build CAD models, Assemblies, Drawings required for integration and BOM creation in PDM.
• 8. Able to handle the critical tasks/projects independently, maintain the quality and follow delivery of
• assigned tasks/projects
• 9. Review and validate manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable standards.
• 10. Knowledge of PLM, PDM system, Engineering change management
• 11. Good knowledge of 3D Modelling / Drafting
• 12. Very good working knowledge of CATIA V5.
