Sunbrilo Technology is seeking an NPD Engineer in Maharashtra for 2-4 years of experience. Location is Chinchwad & Chakan with 6 days WFO. Mechanical or Production Engineering background required for design of sheet metal parts and press tools.

Role emphasizes CAD/CAM mastery, GD&T, and APQP milestones from gate reviews through launch, with collaboration across production, quality, tool room, and sourcing to ensure feasibility.

Responsibilities

• Design 3D models and 2D drawings for automotive sheet metal components and press tools using Creo, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
• Perform strip layouts and design progressive, stage, and compound press tools/dies based on component geometry.
• Apply GD&T principles to ensure strict component fitment and functional compliance.
• Own the execution of APQP milestones from gate reviews through mass production launching.
• Create and update BOMs, process flow charts, DFMEA, PFMEA, and control plans.
• Collaborate with production, quality, tool room, and sourcing to review manufacturing feasibility.

Education - B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechnical or Production Engineering

Key Responsibilities

• Design 3D models and 2D engineering drawings for automotive sheet metal components and press tools using Creo, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
• Perform strip layouts and design progressive, stage, and compound press tools/dies based on component geometry.
• Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure strict component fitment and functional compliance.
• Own the execution of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) milestones from gate reviews through mass production launching.
• Create and update critical engineering documentation: Bill of Materials (BOM), process flow charts, DFMEA, PFMEA, and control plans.
• Collaborate closely with production, quality, tool room, and sourcing departments to review manufacturing feasibility.

Required Technical Skills

• CAD/CAM Software Mastery: Expert proficiency in SolidWorks & Creo for complex 3D solid and surface modeling, and AutoCAD for precise 2D detailing/drafting.
• Press Shop Expertise: Thorough understanding of mechanical and hydraulic presses, sheet metal shearing, forming operations, and blank development
• Quality Standards Knowledge: Robust operational awareness of automotive quality frameworks
