Omni Recruit Private Limited seeks a Hull / Hull Outfit / Painting & NDE Inspector to oversee fabrication, assembly and installation of hull components. The role includes welding, dimensional checks, leak testing and coating verification on ships.
Ideal candidates have 5-7 years in shipbuilding or marine engineering, with NDT Level II/III for weld inspection and a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.
Oversee the fabrication, assembly, and installation of hull-related components such as plates, panels, bulkheads, ladders, foundations, and towing/mooring items.
Conduct inspections of subassemblies, including welding, dimensional checks, leak testing, and coating inspections.
Perform tank inspections, including dry surveys, leak tests, blasting, and painting inspections.
Monitor the installation of equipment like doors, hatches, scuttles, windows, and tanks onboard.
Inspect critical structural and outfit items such as draft marks, sea chest gratings, anode installations, fender installations, and HVAC systems.
Verify hot work checklist as per CLO and clear compartments prior to painting and insulation
Verify the ships final completion stages, including deck covering, insulation, and compartment final handover.
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience, preferably in the shipbuilding or marine engineering industry.
Previous experience in hull-related inspections for ships is highly desirable.
Level II/III in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) for weld inspection and material testing.
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering from an accredited institute
